Resources for Digital Environments
In the EDLD 5317 course, I developed a thorough understanding of the strategies and tools needed to improve educational practices through research and visionary projects. One of my significant achievements was creating a publication outline, which helped organize the structure and content of my topic effectively.
After creating my outline, I developed a rough draft of my publication, elaborating on my topic and refining my research. During this phase, I received valuable peer feedback based on a cohesive rubric. You can access the final draft of my article, "5 Tips to Manage an ESL Classroom," through the following link: Final Publication. This article explores how effective classroom management can enhance our understanding of each student's unique needs and provides best practices for teaching in a multilingual environment.
Additionally, I created a media project in the form of a podcast that promotes my article. This project aligns closely with my overall innovation plan, which focuses on implementing ePortfolios in emergent bilingual classrooms. This plan equips educators with strategies to utilize progressive education to enhance language acquisition while meaningfully integrating blended learning. It encourages student choice and fosters a growth mindset for academic development.
These activities have greatly enhanced my understanding of educational research and practice. I have confidently sharpened my writing skills, excelled in project development, and mastered digital media creation.
My peer group used a cohesive rubric to evaluate our publication drafts. Each member received feedback based on these guidelines.
