As the first Fall Applied Digital Learning Program courses at Lamar University end, I am reflecting on my evolving educational journey. After reviewing the Self-Assessment Marking Guide for Creating Significant Learning Environments (5313) course, I confidently rate my performance at 95. This score is a testament to my persistent dedication to the learning process, the significant value I've contributed to my student learning community, and the profound personal growth I've experienced, all of which highlight the impact of my contributions.

I was committed to attending every video session for the course, except for one instance when I had the flu, and I took detailed notes for each session. I collaborated with my classmates daily through group chat and consistently completed all assignments within the set deadlines. Additionally, I fully engaged with the learning materials by watching the videos, reading the articles, and taking notes.I am proud to maintain an A in the course, which is a testament to the time, effort, and engagement I have invested. I actively participated in live class discussions and shared my thoughts and input with others because my professional teaching environment is unique.

Looking back on my journey, I've realized the importance of improving my time management skills. Staying up until 5 am and submitting assignments just 15 minutes before the deadline is unsuitable for my health or well-being. Moving forward, I understand the significance of creating a schedule and working ahead on assignments to achieve a healthier balance in my future courses.

I actively participated in and contributed to our core collaboration team. After joining the Group Me chat, I quickly understood the value of engaging in ongoing conversations with my fellow students to enrich my learning journey. By the end of the first week, I became aware of the demanding workload of the course and the challenges of starting a new school year. I promptly joined the group meetings, interacting with my peers daily. I provided support and feedback to my team members by sharing resources. I frequently clarified and offered additional insight on assignments I fully understood to help others. For course 5313, Paige E. Shaw, Ennija Amour, Melissa M. Richards, and Nadia A. Flores were just a few people in our collaboration group. The ladies gave feedback on my portfolio and were very encouraging. We all took the same classes this summer and needed extra positivity to push through. This experience has taught me the importance of surrounding myself with positive, like-minded people who will motivate and push me, and I believe it's a lesson that can benefit us all.

Although challenging at times, the 5313 course allowed me to enhance my thinking skills and gain a deeper understanding. My newly embraced growth mindset has improved the effectiveness of collaboration and community in my learning journey. Actively engaging with peers and professionals dedicated to self-directed learning has provided me with the support and drive that will push me beyond the completion of this course. During the initial stages of my coursework, Ennija shared valuable advice after I provided feedback to a group member. Her suggestion to use the UbD design in the module and not the one in the textbook enhanced my performance on the assignment, and I received an A. I am grateful for the support and advice I've received.

As I acknowledge the areas where I can improve, I am committed to continual growth and progress through self-reflection, actively working with colleagues, making valuable contributions to our professional learning community, and advancing our shared educational goals.
